About Us
We are Freshefied!
Freshefied CIC [fresh•ee•fyed] is a Social Enterprise created to educate, empower and edify Black University Students in Scotland.
Our Journey
Freshefied was founded in 2022 as a response to the lack of funding and support for Black students in Scotland, particularly those without settled status.
Since then, we have grown and evolved, remaining true to our purpose of providing consistent support to Black students through community-building events, food initiatives, educational resources, and creative engagement.
Over the past two years, we have worked to uplift young Black students through workshops, events, and one-on-one mentorship. Our podcast, Fresh Dscvries, is also making a return soon, and we can’t wait to bring more content that inspires and informs.
We’ve been privileged to support students and young entrepreneurs with funding and resources, assist in rehousing homeless students, and provide meals to those who need them most.
We want to uplift, empower, and ensure that every student who connects with Freshefied feels motivated, seen, and inspired.

We envision a community where every Black heritage student has the support, resources, and opportunities necessary to excel in all aspects of life. And our aim is to foster an environment where students feel valued, represented, and uplifted.
